These spoons are made from 'Mother of Pearl' Shell, handcrafted (cut and polished) and made from 100% nacre. 

Nacre is organic–inorganic composite material produced by some mollusks as an inner layer of shell (its also what pearls are made from).  It is strong, resilient, and iridescent.

This specific utensil is from pink mother of pearl with scraps of the nacre shells inside an acrylic handle.
