Fishmongers since 1966.
7 Seas has brought Pacific fish to Vancouver for sixty years: a family company with its own plant in Richmond, and this shop on West 4th where the neighbourhood buys its dinner. The Starter Box is the same fish we sell over the counter, cut and packed the same way, set aside for you every time.
We still do it our way: wild where it says wild, named by water, cut by hand.

FAQ
Fair questions, plain answers.
How does the free favourite work?
When your box is on repeat (every week, two or four), the favourite you picked goes in every box, no code, no minimum. It stays as long as your box is active, and skipping a box never affects it.
Can I still just order once?
Yes. Pick "Just this once" on the card. Same boxes, same prices, same pickup or delivery. One-time boxes do not get the free favourite.
What if I am away, or my freezer is full?
Text SKIP. The one rule: by noon Tuesday for a Thursday box, noon Friday for a Sunday box. That is when we buy your fish, so a change after it goes on the next box. PAUSE holds it until you say so, STOP ends it. No contract, no fee.
Do I have to confirm each box?
No. That is the point. It comes on your day unless you text SKIP by the cutoff. We bring your fish in for you, so if you do not skip, your box is packed.
What comes in the box each time?
Whatever you picked, every time. Change it whenever you like by text or at the counter. Changes before the noon cutoff go on that week’s box; after it, on the next one.
When do I pay, and how?
Pickup: at the counter when you collect, like any visit. Delivery: Toast texts you a secure pay link two days before your box. It is due by the same noon cutoff, because that is when we buy your fish. Unpaid by then means that box is skipped, and we text you to say so.
What if I don’t collect it?
We hold a Thursday box until Saturday at 6 and a Sunday box until Wednesday at 6 (we are closed Mondays). If it is not collected we text you and pause your box until we hear back, so nothing more is bought for you until you want it.
What if a price changes, or something is out?
Box prices are fixed. If one has to change, we text you before it applies. If something is out, we do what you picked on the card: leave it out and take it off the total, or swap in something similar at about the same price.
What if I am allergic to shellfish?
Swap anything in the box. Tap "Customize this box" and take the crab cakes or prawns out; the price follows.
Fresh or frozen?
Portions are vacuum-packed and flash-frozen, at our plant in Richmond or at source, and each line says which. Fresh fillets are deboned and vacuum-packed at the store the morning your box goes out. To thaw a portion, leave it in the pouch in a bowl of cold water for 20 to 45 minutes.
Where do you deliver?
Pickup at the counter on West 4th, or delivery up to 50 km from the shop. Type your postal code on the card and it sets the fee: $3.99 within 5 km, $7.99 for 5 to 10 km, $17.99 to 25 km, $36.99 to 50 km, with a minimum box of $100 within 10 km, $150 to 25 km and $250 to 50 km. No minimum for pickup.
What if something isn’t right?
Tell us as soon as you can, a photo helps. We replace the item or refund it, your choice. We would rather know.
Do I earn points?
Yes. Every box is a normal order under your phone number, so loyalty points apply like at the counter.
Can I text my order instead of filling this in?
Yes. Text us what you want and how often, like "4 sockeye and 1 lb prawns every 2 weeks, Thursday pickup", and we set it up and text you back.
